Two of VCNA’s Concrete Divisions, Prairie and United Materials were recently awarded for their sustainability efforts by offering lower-carbon concrete products. Prairie took home the American Concrete Institute’s first place for high-rise structures for Salesforce Tower in Chicago, the first office tower to achieve a 19% reduction in carbon emissions. And from NRMCA, Prairie and United both received Environmental Excellence Awards and Prairie earned a Producer Excellence Quality Award.
